Like many other independent schools, John Winthrop relies on fundraising to help support the school. As a member of the John Winthrop community, you will be invited to participate in several important events over the course of the school year. The school has a long and successful tradition of fundraising that has helped to support important items such as having co-op students in every classroom, weekly music programming, school facility upgrades, and the scholarship program. Fundraising events occur throughout the year and offer many ways for you and your family to participate – by donating time, goods & services, or monetary contributions.

Annual Fund

This is the core of John Winthrop’s fundraising. All members of the John Winthrop community – parents, Board members, faculty, alumni and friends – are asked to support the school’s programs with a gift to the Annual Fund. Annual giving touches every part of the school and supports its daily activities. These vital, unrestricted dollars support every student by bridging the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating a John Winthrop student. Whether your gift is large or small, each donation helps us move closer to our goal of 100% participation.
