Financial Aid
John Winthrop believes that no child should be denied entry to the school because of a lack of financial resources. The school raises funds for financial aid annually through efforts of the parents. Past and present parents are very committed to the belief that we must continue to raise funds so we can provide this important assistance which makes our school available to a broader constituency. All donations are tax deductible.
The School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), a service of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), processes all tuition assistance applications for the John Winthrop School. The SSS then sends us their evaluation and the Director makes the final evaluation of how much tuition assistance is allocated to families. Tuition Assistance grants are based on the assessment of need and on funds available. The applications should be sent to SSS, by February 1st, since forms require several weeks for processing. Later requests can be reviewed, but funds are more limited at that time.
Applications are available at John Winthrop School or at SSS.
The John Winthrop School endorses and actively practices equal opportunity for all persons regardless of race, creed, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, political beliefs, lifestyle, or disability.
